Anti-Aeromonas salmonicida, (clone 1D8/C1)
Anti-Aeromonas salmonicida, (clone 1D8/C1)
This antibody recognizes typical (ATCC 14174) and atypical strains of Aeromonas salmonicida and can be used in ELISA (1: 1,000 dilution), Western Blot (1: 1,000 dilution) and indirect immunofluorescence (1: 500 dilution) assays. A. salmonicida is a Gram-negative, non-motile, rod-shaped and facultative anaerobic bacterium, that is the causative agent of furunculosis in both salmonids and non-salmonids species. This systemic fish disease is characterized by high mortality and morbidity and is a significant cause of economic losses in the aquaculture of trout and salmon. Atypical strains produce ulcer disease and erythrodermatitis that can lead to high mortality.
