Anti-Infectious salmon anemia virus (ISAV), Hemagglutinin-Esterease protein, (clone 8D2/E9)
This antibody can be used in ELISA (1:500 dilution), Western blot (1:1,000 dilution), and indirect immunofluorescence (1:1,000). It recognizes two bands, one at 42 kDa corresponding to ISAV hemagglutinin-esterase and the second at 90 kDa probably corresponding to a dimmer of this protein. ISAV is an enveloped virus that belongs to the family Orthomyxoviridae and genus Isavirus. Its genoma comprises eight negative-sense, single-stranded RNA segments and encodes four major structural proteins including the matrix, the nucleoprotein, and two membrane glycoproteins (hemagglutinin-esterase and gp50). ISAV infects mainly endothelial cells and leukocytes and causes a multisystemic disease characterized by high mortality with exophthalmia, pale gills, ascites, hemorrhagic liver necrosis, and renal interstitial hemorrhage.
